The Queen Forever collection is available for pre-order (it'll be released November 10th).

Now, the question is, do I really want to pay 12 euros for three new songs (one of which is only semi-new)...?

You could pay even more, for a double album with a booklet! I must say, I'm very taken by the cover image. The press release ( mentions old tracks in a new light, so maybe they've remixed a lot of the songs, and it's not as much of a rehash as it sounds? Either way, you can probably download tracks individually, if you'd rather not buy the whole thing.

I am in two minds, but it'll be nice to hear the new/old stuff, at any rate.

The way I counted it, only "Let Me In Your Heart Again" is really new. The Michael jackson duet has been floating around online for about ten years now at least, though I look forward to a proper mix of it as the demo is . . . very much a demo. And "Love Kills" isn't even new, just another remix from the ones they've already done. I actually don't like Queen versions of Freddie's solo materials because I see them as separate but maybe that is just me.
But I'm an old fan and maybe they are trying to market to new fans who joined up on the basis of Adam Lambert. These materials will all be new to them, as will some of the songs on the compilation album, so they'll be happy with it. It's pretty smart marketing. I'd like to think that's their strategy rather than "Let's milk every cent from the fans by splitting the new remixes over three disks and making them album-only on iTunes." LOL

OMG the actual Queen fandom can be so horrid. The entire subtext of this community's profile is "None of that official Queen fandom meanness here!"

You're probably right about AL fans not buying albums. I was showing my age. I've been a fan since News of the World.
