Did people have feelings or thoughts about the upcoming Sotheby's auctions?

I am hoping to buy an exhibit catalog.

They're doing an exhibit of some of the things at Sotheby's NY in early June and I'll try to go. 

I feel sort of sad that everything's being auctioned off instead of being made into an archive, because I think Freddie was a great artist and deserves an archive, but of course there is money to be made.

I read somewhere that his family did a Farsee funeral but now I realise you cannot believe everything you read.

I would dearly love to walk around Freddie's house and see all his posessions.

They did do but that ended in cremation and his ashes were left to Mary to put somewhere and she never said where she put them. People wanted a spot to visit and leave flowers and whatnot and apparently Freddie did not want that chaos. So some people have thought (in various biographies) that she put the ashes in his garden at Garden Lodge but no one really knows (except Mary).

I forgot or never knew she had the ashes.
