Queen Forever
The Queen Forever collection is available for pre-order (it'll be released November 10th).
Now, the question is, do I really want to pay 12 euros for three new songs (one of which is only semi-new)...?

I am in two minds, but it'll be nice to hear the new/old stuff, at any rate.

Yeah, unless the old songs are extremely different from the old version, I'll probably buy the new songs as downloads (I assume/hope they'll be sold separately even though it would give people less of an incentive to buy the wole album) and then get the album itself as cheap second hand later (because my inner 12-year-old Queen fan likes tangible things).
I wonder if there's be a single/music video release...? I would think that the Freddie/MJ duet would be a big thing because it's new unreleased music from not one but two music legends.

But I'm an old fan and maybe they are trying to market to new fans who joined up on the basis of Adam Lambert. These materials will all be new to them, as will some of the songs on the compilation album, so they'll be happy with it. It's pretty smart marketing. I'd like to think that's their strategy rather than "Let's milk every cent from the fans by splitting the new remixes over three disks and making them album-only on iTunes." LOL

Could very well be. My first introduction to Queen back was Greatest Hits II. I do wonder, though, if the Adam Lambert generation still buys (compilation) albums.
(Which got me thinking, they haven't released a live album with AL yet, have they? I wonder if there will be one of the current tour. If they did, it would definitely be a hit)

Well, that's certainly what the fans on Facebook and at official site think :D Then again, people were saying the same thing about Queen Rocks as well - and about pretty much everything that Queen has released since Made in Heaven that isn't a 70's live recording...
(there is a reason why I haven't been involved in the actual Queen fandom since the 90's...)

You're probably right about AL fans not buying albums. I was showing my age. I've been a fan since News of the World.
